Dr. Marc Weagraff

Dr. Marc Weagraff is Professor of Voice and Choral Studies at the renowned Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory in Berea OH. He has been familiar with MSC for many years, and has performed as a soloist with the Chorale in the past. He also maintains private voice studios in Cleveland and nationally online. Dr. Weagraff has a D.M.A. in Vocal Performance from The University of Michigan and M.M. and B.M. degrees in Vocal Performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music.
As a teacher of voice, his students have sung in multiple Broadway shows, network television, national tours, major U.S. and European summer programs, and several of the finest graduate music programs. Dr. Weagraff has studied voice with Lorna Haywood and George Vassos and choral conducting under Theo Morrison. His opera credits include roles with The Utah Opera Company, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Cleveland Concert Opera, Michigan Opera Works, The University of Michigan, The University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and the Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as numerous performances in musical theater programs. Several of his performances have been broadcast live over WCLV (Cleveland) and KBYU (Provo, UT) radio.
Equally at home with oratorio repertoire, in addition to MSC mentioned above, he has performed as a soloist with the internationally renowned University of Michigan Men's Glee Club, the Utah Symphony educational series, The Western Reserve Chorale, and others. As a recitalist he has been heard throughout the Great Lakes region. As a choral conductor, Dr. Weagraff has enjoyed over 35 years of experience on the podium in both liturgical and collegiate settings.
He is a past Director of Music Ministries at St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills, OH, where his choirs have performed in Rome and Assisi, Italy including the world-wide broadcast of the 2007 New Year's Day Papal Mass at the Vatican. In addition to teaching voice, Dr. Weagraff also directs the BW Singers choral ensemble and has taught German and French Lyric Diction and Literature as well as Opera History.

I am honored to continue MSC’s legacy of providing the region with excellent choral music and to help guide MSC into the future.”

Now in its 24th year, MSC has performed an annual series of classical choral concerts since its founding by Dr. J.D. Goddard in June, 2001. MSC welcomes, without audition, singers of all ages from high school through adult. Those interested in singing classical choral music are invited to visit any of MSC’s weekly 7 PM Monday rehearsals (see schedule) at the First Christian Church of Stow, 3493 Darrow Road (RT. 91) Stow, Ohio 44224. Scholarships towards membership fees are available for high school and college participants.
